Wonder-lust: Thriving for wonderment and beauty in everyday life. Embracing "newness" and being a beginner at life. Breaking old habits and finding openness in mind, body, and spirit.
Identifying myself as a wonder-luster is not exclusive to going out on grand explorations and adventures. But being open to finding adventure in trying new foods, listening to new music, hearing new thoughts, forming new opinions, seeing new sights, meeting new people, taking new classes, finding new movement patterns, and exploring new frontiers.
Since becoming a large part of my lifestyle wonder-lust has influenced my dance practice and artistic philosophy as well. Being an open vessel in mind, body, and spirit for the experiences life has to offer allows creative ideas to be in a constant state of flux. As a dance practice wonder-lust keeps exploration at the forefront and promotes a lifelong student approach to dance; there will always be more to learn, absorb, and find beauty in. I’m interested in how an open approach to life can create new inspirations, inform new movement patterns, and open new frontiers as a movement artist.
